Boudoir Photographer Jacksonville, FL | Valentine's Day Gift for Boyfriend

Makeup by Amanda Hopcraft

This is the second time we've photographed this brunette beauty! We are always so thrilled when we get clients that come back for more sessions with us. It gives us an opportunity as artists to push our portrait creation to another level and the artistic ability to really focus and capture her further.

What inspired you to do a boudoir photoshoot and why did you choose Bad Girl Boudoir again?
I was inspired to do a boudoir shoot because I had done one in the past and absolutely loved it! I thought it would be a great Valentine’s Day gift as well! I chose Bad Girl Boudoir because I had an amazing experience with them the first time! They definitely don’t disappoint. My second shoot was even better. I was so pleased with my photos I would do it again in a heartbeat!

What were your feelings leading up to your session?
I wasn’t as nervous as I was the first time. I was more excited then anything! I looked for picture ideas and outfit ideas a lot to try and find what I was looking for.

Tell us about your experience with Bad Girl Boudoir...
It was a great experience once again! Amanda did my makeup and did exactly what I wanted. Lindsay did my hair perfect! I had so much fun. Lindsay showed me some shots as we went along and they looked amazing! It really helped boosted my confidence and made me more excited. Her studio is beautiful and she has beautiful photo ideas. I was so pleased with her work!

You gave the book as a gift, what was his reaction?
Yes it was a Valentine’s gift for my boyfriend. He was in shock I think! He said it was the best gift he has ever received. He had seen my first shoot and said this one was even hotter if that’s possible! Definitely a great gift for a special guy.

My advice would be to plan ahead. Look for outfit ideas, makeup, and hairstyles so you know what you want. Don’t be nervous and have fun! Once you start seeing your photos, you are going to be thrilled! Lindsay and Amanda were great! I would use this company again and continue to refer friends!

I decided to do a boudoir session for many reasons. I wanted to have great shots to look back on in my later years. I also knew my husband would love it and I wanted to give him a gift he would always remember!I reached a point in my life where I finally liked who I was as a woman, and I wanted to embrace that by getting the photo shoot done!

When searching online Bad Girl Boudoir just stood out to me because I really liked how the gallery is set up and I really enjoyed seeing all the great before and after shots of other women who decided to go for it!

Leading up to the session I was really anxious and excited all in one. I spent several hours trying to search and piece together the perfect outfits I knew my husband would love. I had a friend doing hers around the same time as me, so it was fun helping each other prepare.

I liked how professional and detail oriented Lindsay was during the shoot. I could tell she cared about her work and wanted to help bring about the best outcome for my session. When I had first got there I was nervous, but Lindsay and Amanda were nice and talking with them helped me to get more comfortable and relaxed before the shoot. I loved my makeup and hair. I felt beautiful. Its nice that they offer that because it took the stress out of needing to schedule those services elsewhere. I like the no-stress all inclusive set up for the hair and makeup, Plus they made me look fabulous!

Let me just say its really awesome seeing the "sneek peek" gallery after the shoot! Especially the very first time, I was speechless. I knew it was totally worth it!

I gave my husband the book on this past Christmas Eve. I loved seeing him admire the photos. He told me it was the best gift he has ever gotten. I often catch him looking at it in his spare time and I know he really loves it, (what man wouldn't) :) His fave is one where I am standing holding his gun. So ladies if your man is into guns, or whatever he is into, I recommend adding something in your session that makes it personal towards him.

I recommend the Luxury Leather Book, as it is great quality and I loved that you can inscribe on the front!

My advice would be to totally GO FOR IT!

It will be worth the investment and it will be an experience you won't forget. Make sure you mention if you would like a certain poses! I was able to email Lindsay sample pics I thought my hubby would like and she did a great job mixing her style in with what I had in mind. I don't think you will regret it--Even if you are more of a "reserved" type (as am I). It was nice to break out of my shell and be "a bad girl" for a day ;)

What inspired you to do a boudoir photoshoot and why did you choose Bad Girl Boudoir?
Although I have the same insecurities as all women (I could be in better shape, I wish I was eating better, this isn’t as good as I could look), my husband genuinely loves my body as is...and I’m not getting any younger (and you never know what the future might bring), so I decided the best gift I could give him was to capture me as I am currently. BGB offered great examples of their work, and clearly offered a professional and personal touch I was looking for in a photographer.

What were your feelings leading up to your session?
Lindsay did a great job preparing me prior to my session, so I was not the least bit nervous.

Having a professional to take care of my makeup was a huge bonus! Not having to worry about my hair or makeup took away any potential stress. I felt so beautiful having my makeup professionally done!

You gave a book as a gift, what was his reaction?
He was completely floored! He was expecting to open a photo book made up of our personal photos like I had made before using other websites, and instead he opened an amazing collection of professional boudoir photos! He looks at it regularly still!

What’s your advice for future clients looking to have a boudoir photoshoot?
I highly recommend looking on the internet at different examples of photos, poses and themes. If you Google “boudoir photos” (I found a great selection on Pinterest!), you will be shocked at the results! Consider what YOUR PARTNER likes about you, not as much what you like, and have an idea of props, anatomical focus, etc. that will help Lindsay create the best session possible.
